About

Hi! My name is Jo, and I am a third-generation dog trainer, who had trained and put obedience titles on four of my dogs.

Four of my dogs have competed in obedience trials and I have trialed three of them myself, and two of them were tri-coloured shelties.

Their names were Deena and Phoebe. I also trained a red tri-coloured Australian Shepherd and his name was Hogan, which my Mum handled. Then my last trial dog was a dark salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer, named Ilse.

I currently have a Rough-Coated Jack Russell Terrier named Fuzzy. I’m also a third-generation, dog obedience instructor.

My Mum founded a dog obedience, club, and it’s called The Blue Mountains All Breeds Dog Obedience Club.

She also suggested that I sign up to do my first instructor’s certificate when I was seventeen, when I was still living in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales.

Then I did my second dog obedience instructor’s certificate through The Canine Evaluator’s of Australasia when I moved to Queensland.

This second certificate is recognized internationally, as the correspondence course was based somewhere in England. John Fischer had something to do with the course, which was called The Canine-Human Interaction.

My Mum also suggested that I do something like naturopathy, or homeopathy. As she told me that I had an aptitude for it. However, I didn’t do something about it then.

Though some years later, I decided to combine my interests in dogs and nutrition. So, about four years ago, I decided to do the Certificate Course in Canine Nutrition and Health.

The first canine nutrition course I did was through the Canine Principles. Then as I passed with very good results, I am now currently doing:

The sixth module with The Centre of Excellence and this course is an online course that is called Diploma in Canine Nutrition.

Also, after I’ve completed this diploma course which I’m enjoying I have then planned to then do the Level 3 Diploma Course in Canine Nutrition which is also based in England.

As you can see, I enjoy reading and writing!
