When My Brother Was Little

When my brother was little, he let Webster out.

Then he tried to get him back by waving the

broom about.

When my brother was little, I saw him swing my cat Cassius

around, and around by his tail and when he, let go the cat

sailed.

He was just being a little boy, and he had two sisters to enjoy!

A few years later, I watched my brother drop my other cat named

Patch out an open window and in the background played Placido

Flamingo (Domingo).

The Unmourned

This audiobook is by Tom and Meg Keneally and in this story Monsarrat, goes straight to work. As he tries to figure out another crime that took place in the new area where he and Mrs Mahrooney live.

However, Monsarrat is pretty sure that the woman who is the prime suspect of the murder is innocent, but he can only go to the female factory in the daytime hours.

This is also why I think Monsarrat decides to enlist Mrs Mahrooney’s help.

As she goes to the female factory and eventually the women talk to her about things, and she tells Monsarrat what they talk to her about.

Then one of the things that Mrs Mahrooney told Monsarrat about is that there was a woman known as the Pirate Queen.

The Soldier’s Curse

This audiobook is written by Tom and Meg Keneally and the story is set in Australia during the colonial times in the 1800’s and I found listening to it was quite interesting.

As the Major’s wife gets sick while her husband is away, and a clerk named Monsarrat who was sent to Australia as a convict has to write reports about her.

Monsarrat was an educated man, and so he became a clerk to the sick woman’s husband. Then as the Major’s wife was gravely ill she eventually died.

Then as her cause of death was due to being poisoned.

There were a few people that became suspects who Monsarrat had investigated. Then after her death. Monsarrat who was also called magpie, was still trying to work out who had done such a thing and why.
